The Colonel Birt
Kidwell Winter Skeet and Trap League will be forming up soon for the
2007 season. Both experienced and
aspiring shotgunners
are encouraged to
join. The format for
league competition
provides both a
demanding challenge
for experienced shotgunners, while
also offering an
outstanding learning
environment for new shooters. Shooting
the league is also a
great way to get to
know many of your
fellow IKE’s. The 2006 season set an all time record for
participation with 168 shooters and the 2007 season promises to be just
as fun and exciting as past years.
The season will begin on Sunday, January 7, 2007 and
consists of 12 matches (six trap and six skeet) held over a period of
approximately 14 weeks. League competition consists of six person
squads shooting two round matches each week against another team.
Points are won for each match with awards presented to the top six
teams.
Individual awards are also presented to the individuals with high
averages in Skeet, Trap, and Overall. Awards are presented at a catered
picnic with shooters, friends and family all invited.
