Environmental testing is being conducted

70th Anniversary for
Arlington-Fairfax Chapter
The Arlington-Fairfax Chapter was
chartered by the Izaak Walton League
of America in February, 1936. That makes us 70 years old and
it’s time to celebrate with our annual picnic for all
members, their families and their friends. The picnic will be
held on Saturday, July 8, and promises to be a bang-up affair under the
chairmanship of Bob Brino. And he needs help! e-mail
rgpb46@aol.com.
Steamship round of beef, barbecued pork, grilled chicken, hot dogs,
hamburgers, corn-on-the cob, potato salad, cold slaw, baked beans and
rolls with the usual beverages will be served. The picnic
‘lunch’ will be served at 1 p.m. But come
early and make it a day to relax and visit with all your old and new
friends.
Tickets for the picnic must be purchased in advance (we need to know
how much food to provide). We must have a final count July 1
at which time ticket sales will be handled on a first-come, first
served basis for the final days and at the gate the day of the
picnic. Ticket prices are: members and their immediate family
members - $8 each; guests - $10 each, children 6-13 - $5.00 each and
all kids under 6-years old are free. After July 1, add $2 to
each ticket.
